That last number is the one people miss. Most Florida businesses are one person: a contractor with a truck, a stylist renting a chair, a lawn crew of one. Those owners often have the hardest time with banks, because their income comes in uneven and their history is short.
county pages
Each county page is built from that county's own data: its main industries, local loan programs, and the offices that help owners get ready to borrow.
Broward County
Boats, the port, the airport and a heavy winter season. Marine shops, trucking, restaurants and contractors.

what the state doesn't cover.
Outside of a disaster, Florida has no everyday state loan for small businesses. That's where most owners end up choosing between a bank, an SBA lender and a private lender. Here's the short version of how they compare:
- Banks are cheapest but slowest, and usually want 2+ years in business and strong credit.
- SBA 7(a) loans go up to $5 million through approved lenders. Great terms, lots of paperwork.
- Private lenders move in days and accept more risk, so they cost more. Best as a bridge, not a habit.

questions
My county doesn't have its own page. Can you still help?
Yes. The form works for any business in Florida, and anywhere in the US. County pages exist where we've done the local research. They don't limit who we can match.
Does Florida have its own small business loans?
Not an everyday one. The state's main program is the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan, which the Governor turns on after a disaster. Some counties run their own, like Palm Beach County's Business Loan Program. For everyday needs, most Florida owners use banks, SBA lenders or private lenders.
Who do I call at the SBA?
Florida has two SBA district offices. North Florida is based in Jacksonville and covers 43 counties. South Florida is based in Miami and covers 24 counties, including Broward and Palm Beach.
Is it free to get matched?
Free to apply and see your options. If you get funded, the lender may pay us. Any cost to you is spelled out in your offer before you sign.
Are you a lender?
No. helpmegetfunding.com is run by Gotham Capital Funding, which matches Florida businesses with lenders from its network. The lender makes every approval, rate and term decision.
